Hydrotrole Limited was originally formed in October 1963. In 1964 we purchased Compact Hydraulics Ltd now known as Liquid Dynamics International Ltd (LDI Inc). After the development of ranges of pump control accumulators with volume stored indication and mag-switch telemetry models, now the sole activity of Hydrotrole Ltd.; we were asked do develop pressure transient interception designs; resulting in the “PistoFram" instant response flow through range.
From this work in the high frequency area, we went into similar applications but for process liquids including corrosives, high viscosity, and wide temperature spread environments. These activities became a separate company FLOWCHEM Inc today called "PulseGuard Pulsation stabilizers".
From the PulseGuard interest we were caused to explore shock hammer and surge needs for pipe lines from 3" through 36" which is now the specialty of ShockGuard Ltd.
Along the way greater specificity in addressing customer tech. problems was achieved by the development of modeling and predictive software, ShockView and PulseView. That analytical activity, along with elastomeric formulation and molding, hydro forming, and technical support for PulseGuard, ShockGuard, and Hydrotrole is “LDI” today. In 1978 we spread across the Atlantic.
